Since 2013, Hayden has created and appeared on well over 100 podcasts, spanning a number of shows. His first foray into audio came in the form of NOTHING IN PARTICULAR, a seven-episode comedy series of improvised jokes and scenarios of utter lunacy co-created with his friend Tom Ranson. Despite a good run throughout the summer of 2013, the series was short lived and now only three episodes of the show exist on the interwebs. You can check out what remains here.
In February 2015, Hayden was asked by the enigmatic Doc Whom to join the new line-up of the Doctor Who podcast known as DIDDLY DUM. Six years later, Doc has failed to shake him off since.
Hayden continues to give his views on both classic and new Who and has also interviewed members of the cast and crew, not only on the podcast, but on stage at the Doctor Who Appreciation Society’s Capitol events in his capacity as resident podcaster.
In the 100+ episodes he has appeared in, Hayden has also recorded sketches and provided voice “artistry” in the guise of characters such as the old Soothsayer and the much missed Terrance Dicks.

In 2016, confidence booming with a year of constant podcasting under his belt, Hayden began his own solo project away from Diddly Dum. PODCASTERS ROYALE: THE JAMES BOND 007 SHOW was an exciting and entertaining in-depth look into all 24 official EON films, joined by a revolving team of 007 fans and podcasters, Hayden span the roulette wheel of choice every month to help pick a Bond film at random.
Soon as the show began to gain listeners, PR began to branch out into other areas of the JB world, looking into the music of the movies, the careers of the actors themselves and listener polls, PR eventually ended in 2019…but to paraphrase the films themselves, Podcasters Royale Will Return…
Hayden has also appeared on THE DOCTOR WHO SHOW, WHO’S HE? PODCAST, PROGTOR WHO, DOCTOR WHO’S LINE IS IT ANYWAY?, THE LUNCH HOUR GEEK OUT, THE CLASSIC TV PODCAST and TRAP ONE discussing his love of Doctor Who. He has also appeared twice on THE HOTSPURS PODCAST discussing his other passion, Tottenham Hotspur FC and ONE FOOT ON THE STOOL discussing mental health. These can all be found on all podcast providers.
In 2018, he also had a stint at CAMBRIDGE 105 RADIO as the early morning breakfast DJ on Saturdays, later moving to Sundays. A selection of his shows can be found here on Mixcloud.
